WHO WE ARE

At Sweet Charlie’s we make ice cream and frozen yogurt the way it should be. Each ice cream or frozen yogurt is made to order on a super, cold surface that is below 20 degrees. Because the surface is so cold, very small ice crystals are formed quickly. These ice crystals create the freshest, healthiest, most delicious end product. Our unique process eliminates the need to add stabilizers, emulsifiers, and preservatives like the other guys.

We combine the art of making Thai inspired ice cream rolls with modern American showmanship to create a one of a kind experience for all ages. The best part is… it tastes delicious!

THE STORY

For as long as he can remember, 18 year old Kyle Billig (founder) has been fascinated by all different types of creativity and innovation. He has always had an entrepreneurial outlook on things. He was constantly looking for ways to innovate and improve trends and products around him. With that being said, when he came across a video of a Thai street vendor making ice cream from scratch on a cold plate in less than 2 minutes in front of a huge crowd, his creative senses immediately began to tingle. His whole family has a sweet tooth for ice cream, so when he showed them the video they were in complete awe. Enlisting the help of his like-minded, older brother Jacob, they searched near and far to discover that there was nowhere to get this Thai creation in the United States. Kyle, Jacob, and the rest of the Billig family were forced to create it on their own. Thats when the light bulb clicked, and in September of 2015, Sweet Charlie’s was born.
